Role
As a key member of our autonomous mobility team, you will:
- Contribute to the Development: Shape the future of autonomous driving simulation by actively contributing to the enhancement of our simulation toolchain.
- Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with cross-functional teams to comprehend simulation requirements, translating them into robust tools and processes that meet the needs of our autonomous vehicle development.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep abreast of the latest technologies and trends in autonomous driving, simulation, and software-defined vehicles. Bring your insights to the table to ensure we remain at the cutting edge of industry advancements.
- Champion Software Engineering Practices: Establish and champion best-in-class software engineering practices. Aim to produce high-quality, easily reconfigurable, and maintainable software.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Address impediments proactively, proposing effective solutions while considering the cost-benefit ratio to the wider team and our delivery commitments.
Profile
We’re looking for a candidate with:
- Educational Background: BSc/MSc/PhD in a STEM subject with a focus on software engineering.
- Experience: Proven experience working on simulation software for autonomous vehicles, with a strong background in test automation, continuous testing, and data-driven testing methodologies.
- Programming Skills: Solid software development skills with the ability to write idiomatic, modular, and battle-tested software in Python & C++.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Linux and Git, and familiarity with Docker and AWS.
- Positive Attitude: Importantly, you are humble, respectful, and approach challenges with a positive and professional attitude.
Bonus Points (but not essential):
- Hardware-in-the-Loop Experience: Experience in hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
- Unity/Unreal Engine: Experience working with Unity and/or Unreal Engine.
